Start where the failure appears
If the homepage opens but one search returns nothing, the whole website is not necessarily down. If a title page opens and another service’s player stops, that is a different problem again. Keep the address, title and visible error together before changing settings.
The page will not open

Use the controls of the player you actually opened. Try one change at a time: another offered quality setting, a supported browser, or the intended audio and subtitle track. Return to the same scene to see whether the change helped.
Make a backup before clearing local data. Use quality help for an unexpectedly soft picture and subtitle help for reading or timing issues.
